I spent Friday and Saturday covering the Missouri State Volleyball Tournament Friday and Saturday. It was a hectic, at times frantic two days of shooting not only for my own paper but papers all across the State. I lost track of how many games I shot, somewhere around 20, I transmitted over 80 photos on Saturday alone. I LOVE shooting volleyball. The light usually sucks, achieving focus and capturing peak action is always a major challenge but I can’t think of any sport where the players are so emotive. The jube and the dejection from even regular season games almost always makes for great frames and as you move into the playoffs it only gets better. The state championship game, forget about it, everybody cries, the winners, the losers, the coaches, the parents. EVERYBODY!
