We’re getting towards the end of the year which means two things for photojournalists; contest season is in full swing and it’s time for the year-end photo galleries. So it’s off to the archives to go through the thousands of photos taken over the past 12 months to find the ones you love and the ones you wish didn’t have your name attached to them. I’m not going to say that these are the best photos I’ve taken this year, I’m sure I’ll change my mind about that, but they are some of my favorites either because of the frame itself or from the experience of taking it. So here are thirty of my favorite frames from 2013 in no particular order. I also hope that by posting this  now I will ensure I’ll spend the next eleven days making some bad ass rectangles. Thanks for looking and may your year end editing involve more “nice,” and less “aww s**t.”
